Ibiza Recommendations

This is a place I had always wanted to visit, I had always known it for being a party island but was surprised at how it caters to almost every type of vacation. Whether you want to go and relax with good food and wine, party like its 1999 or take a break and detox, Ibiza has everything on offer. Most surprisingly Ibiza has exceptional food and service, which is often missed in holiday hot spots.
We stayed at Hotel Es Vive, which is a cute boutique hotel in a good central location. Everything seemed to be a 20-minute cab ride away. On first impressions as I wheeled my suitcase up to the front door I wasn’t entirely sure this hotel was going to be my thing but that soon changed by how nice the staff were and how good the food was. We were welcomed warmly and taken to our room, note if you are staying here and want to be able to walk around your bed, its definitely better to opt for a Superior room and always good to pre-book this as the hotel is hugely popular. After the staff happily organised an upgrade for us I began to relax. I think this helped by my fiancée handing me a world-class margarita on their rooftop deck that had such spectacular views of Ibiza – with this and the Margarita It was hard to not start getting into the groove of island life.
Ibiza itself has such a charm it’s hard to put your finger on what makes it so special but I absolutely adored it. It definitely helps to know people on the island or read as many blogs as possible as there seems to be a lot to see and do and it is quite spread out.

Below are my tips on where to eat and what I enjoyed the most.

When to go

The Ibiza season is from April- October this is when everything is open however the earlier and later months are beautiful for quiet retreats to the Island.

Places to visit

La Bodega

Carrer Bisbe Torres Mayans, 2, 07800 Eivissa, Illes Balears, Spain

Described as the best tapas on Ibiza this gorgeous traditional Spanish eatery in Ibiza old town, is simply fantastic. It is one of those magical old towns in Europe that comes alive at night with an eclectic mix of people. You can either visit the multitude of shops down the cobbled streets afterwards or continue to the port for a nightcap.

Tropicana Beach Club Ibiza

Cala Jundal, s/n, 07830 Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Illes Balears, Spain

A great place to relax if you don’t feel like a full on party, this laid back beach club brings it back to the 80’s a perfect place to kick back with a jug of sangria. If you fancy a party Blue Marlin Beach club is a short walk away.

Blue Marlin Beach Club

Cala Jondal, s/n, 07800 Eivissa, Illes Balears, Spain

One of the best day/night parties on the island. It is the perfect place to people watch and is one of the most glamorous beach clubs the island has to offer. Service at times can be slow but they do their best. It is best to book well in advance, as it’s a popular spot.

Bambuddha Grove

Carretera de San Juan, Km. 8.5, 07840 Santa Eulalia del Río, Illes Balears, Spain

This is an absolute must! Bambuddha Grove is excellent in every way, atmosphere, food you name it Bambuddha has it covered. It is considered to be the best Asian on the island.

El Chiringuito

Playa Es Cavallet, s/n, 07830 Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Illes Balears, Spain

By far my favourite beach club this is such a beautiful little spot dont be fooled by the drive up. The restaurant is all white with a raffia roof; the décor instantly makes you want to sink into the squashy white sofas with a glass of rose. The restaurant extends onto the beach where you can rent beds and soak up the sun. The food is sensational and the restaurant welcomes all types.

Lio

Puerto Deportivo Marina Ibiza, Passeig Joan Carles I, 1, 07800 Eivissa, Illes Balears, Spain

Pascha’s new cabaret club this makes for such a fun night out, the show is incredible and the food is just as good.
