My nutrient dense smoothie

Nutrient dense smoothie


1 handful of Blueberries (high in vit C and K – high level of anti-oxidants too)

1 blade of Lemongrass (high in vit A and C as well as folic acid and magnesium)

1 whole lemon (alkalises the body and stimulates white blood cell production – those are the guys that fight off the virus’s)

1 handful of Mint (promotes digestion and sooths stomachs)

4 Physalis (high in antioxidants and boasts a huge amount of Vitamin C )

Echinacea (12 drops an immune system stimulator which was used in the early days pre antibiotics)

1 large handful of Broccoli (high in B6 and Vitamin E)

1 large thumb of Ginger (aids the absorption of all minerals into the body and is a natural anti inflammatory)

1 Banana (high in Potassium and B6)

2 Kiwis (high in Vitamin C and K)

1 handful of Spinach (high in zinc, Vit A, C, E and K)


Whizz all these ingredients together in a high speed blender with homemade almond milk or water and 1 tsp of natural honey- I cant promise its going to taste the best but I can promise it’s the most natural way to boost your body in flu season.
