Homemade Mayonnaise


A lot of people when they give up sugar or have a sensitivity to it, always look for the perfect Hellman’s substitute below is the recipe to a great homemade mayonnaise which makes a great base when mixing with other no sugar sauces like Franks Red Hot sauce.


2 egg yolks

1 pinch of pepper

Large pinch of salt

1 large clove of garlic

1tbsp of lemon or apple cider vinegar

250 ml of any cold pressed oil I used a combo of flax and extra virgin.

For Avocado or chilli mayonnaise add

1 Avocado or 1tsp of Cayenne pepper


Method in a high speed blender whizz up the yolks, S&P, garlic and lemon juice when blended slowly pour in your oil making sure the ‘hole’ closes and your mixture is smooth and creamy.
