Hoppers restaurant review

Hoppers

49 Frith St, London W1D 4SG

Brought to you by the Sethi family responsible for the popular Gymkhana, Trishna, Bubbledogs and Bao comes this laid back Sri Lankan.

I went here with a good friend for lunch and although curry isn’t always the first thing you crave on a Wednesday lunchtime Hoppers manages to make their Sri Lankan feast light. The restaurant is cosy with wood panels and the staff are super friendly and always happy to educate you on the menu. It’s one of those trendy Soho restaurants that you wish you ventured to all the time but rarely do and always kick your self that you don’t. I loved it and truly think its worth the trip for lunch or dinner. My favourite was the egg hopper and fish karis, give me an egg on anything and I am usually pretty happy but this dish egg or no egg was pretty special.

When to go

Hoppers has a no reservations policy so you do have to be prepared to wait, but trust me its worth the wait.

Must Try
